DJ Casper

Known across Tampa Bay for his deep musical knowledge, vinyl roots, and ability to move any room, Justin Layman, better known as DJ Casper, has spent more than two decades shaping the soundtrack of Tampa nightlife. Inspired by Miami bass pioneer DJ Magic Mike in the early ‘90s, Casper turned a lifelong obsession with music, hip-hop culture, funk, soul, disco, reggae, and turntablism into a full-time career behind the decks. A respected tastemaker and open-format selector, Casper is known for seamlessly blending generations and genres while keeping an authentic crate-digger mentality rooted in vinyl culture. He is a co-creator of Ol’ Dirty Sundays, one of Tampa’s most influential and longest-running music events, which helped redefine the city’s nightlife and DJ scene for over a decade. Beyond the clubs, Casper has served as an official DJ for the Tampa Bay Lightning and has built a reputation for delivering high-energy sets everywhere from major sporting events and festivals to upscale lounges and underground parties.
